How can I get donations...?

A friend passed away and her family recently moved out of state so I was willing to help out with donations but my city doesnt allow fundraising car washes anymore. Im lost at what to do are there any posdible ways to get donations from companies? Or sent to my home address that I can collect a lump to send over to them? Just please help with advice....thank you and god bless.
