He tells me I'm hot, funny, and confides in me. Am I FRIENDZONED?

So this guy I've known for about a year, we're in the same club in college. We're both in our early 20's and he's a really nice guy with a great personality. He knew I liked him in the fall, and apparently told a friend of mine that he liked me, but I was taken. Lately he's been talking to me more now and telling me really private things about himself like how he had his first fling with a girl across the country while he was working there, saying he trusts me and feels totally comfortable with me. He's even told me I'm hot a couple of times, that I'm funny, modest, and compliments my personality. He and I can talk for hours, about random things, and he's always reminding me how much he enjoys talking to me. He's suggested we go for drinks when we come back to our university for the year. He has even shown me a girl from his work that he says reminds him of me. I still find him attractive, and I've told him. But, I'm starting to wonder, am I friend zoned? Or is he telling me I'm hot just to see if he can get into my pants? Mixed signals! :(
